2027 Hyundai Palisade
2027 Hyundai Palisade
The biggest story for the 2027 Hyundai Palisade is a styling package. Hyundai Canada’s Night Package gives the Ultimate Calligraphy and Ultimate Calligraphy Hybrid an all-black finish, from the 21-inch wheels to the badges to the Nappa leather seats. Under that new look, the Palisade remains a three-row SUV with seating for seven or eight, standard HTRAC all-wheel drive and two powertrains: a 287 hp 3.5 L V6 and a 329 hp 2.5 L turbo hybrid. Five trims make up the lineup, starting with the Preferred Trend and topping out with the two Calligraphy models. For drivers who spend time in GTA traffic and tight parkades, the Palisade’s camera and sensor systems matter as much as its size. Surround View Monitor comes on four of the five trims, and the Calligraphy versions add Remote Smart Parking Assist. The 2027 Palisade is available now at 401 Dixie Hyundai, near Highway 401 and Dixie Road.
What’s new on the 2027 Hyundai Palisade?

Exterior
Start with the Night Package, since it is the 2027 update. It is built on the Calligraphy trim and offered with the V6 or the hybrid. The package adds 21-inch all-black alloy wheels, all-black front and rear bumpers, all-black raised roof rails, black exterior accents and black Hyundai emblems. Buyers choose from three paint colours: Abyss Black, Creamy White or Ecotronic Grey. Outside the package, each trim keeps its own face. The Calligraphy trims wear an exclusive grille and bumper, and the XRT Pro uses a black grille, black bumpers and front and rear tow hooks.
The Palisade is a large vehicle, so it helps to know the numbers before you park it at home. Overall length runs from 5,060 mm on the Preferred Trend and Luxury Hybrid to 5,090 mm on the XRT Pro, and every version is 1,980 mm wide. Height is 1,805 mm on most trims and 1,830 mm on the XRT Pro. LED headlights, LED taillights and power-folding side mirrors with heat and blind-spot indicators are standard. The smart liftgate is proximity-activated, and the roof rails can carry up to 220 lb (100 kg).

Interior
Black Nappa leather seats and black interior accents set the Night Package cabin apart. In every Palisade, though, the dashboard layout is the same: a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster next to a 12.3-inch navigation touchscreen. The heated, leather-wrapped steering wheel carries paddle shifters and cruise controls. There are seven USB-C ports, six rated at 100 W, and a wireless charging pad for the front row. Ambient lighting is standard on the XRT Pro, Luxury Hybrid and Calligraphy trims.
Rows two and three are where the Palisade earns its size. In the XRT Pro, second-row legroom measures 1,092 mm and third-row legroom is 815 mm. Eight-passenger seating with a 60/40 bench is standard on the Preferred Trend and Luxury Hybrid, and seven-passenger captain’s chairs are standard on the XRT Pro and Calligraphy trims. Cargo volume is 540 L with every seat in use and 1,310 L with the third row folded. Roof-mounted vents, a separate second-row climate control and third-row vents keep the temperature even from front to back.
Features

Powertrain
Hybrid power is offered on the Luxury Hybrid and Ultimate Calligraphy Hybrid. The 2.5 L turbocharged 4-cylinder hybrid produces 329 hp and 339 lb-ft of torque and runs through a 6-speed hybrid automatic. Its NRCan rating is 8.3 L/100 km city, 7.9 highway and 8.1 combined. Hybrids are rated to tow up to 4,000 lb (1,814 kg) with trailer brakes.
The V6 is a 3.5 L direct-injection engine with 287 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque, linked to an 8-speed automatic with SHIFTRONIC manual mode. It powers the Preferred Trend, XRT Pro and Ultimate Calligraphy, with ratings of 11.1 L/100 km combined for the Preferred Trend and Calligraphy and 12.7 combined for the XRT Pro. V6 models tow up to 5,000 lb (2,268 kg) with trailer brakes. All trims share HTRAC all-wheel drive, drive mode selection and auto-levelling rear suspension, and the XRT Pro adds a rear electronic limited-slip differential.

Technology
For city driving and parking, the tech list is long. Front and rear Parking Distance Warning, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist and Parking Collision Avoidance Assist – Reverse help at low speeds. Surround View Monitor gives a top-down camera view on the XRT Pro, Luxury Hybrid and both Calligraphy trims, along with Blind View Monitor. The Calligraphy models add side Parking Distance Warning, Remote Smart Parking Assist and a built-in dual-channel dashcam, plus a head-up display and a full digital rear-view mirror.
Highway features are standard across the range. Highway Driving Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control with stop-and-go, Lane Following Assist 2 and Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with car, pedestrian and cyclist detection are included on every trim. Safe Exit Assist and Rear Occupant Alert add protection for passengers. Inside, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, BlueLink connected services, over-the-air updates and In-car intercom with Driver Talk are standard. BOSE audio with 14 speakers comes on every trim above the Preferred Trend.
Versions
There are five 2027 Palisade trims, plus one package. The Preferred Trend uses the V6, seats eight and comes with 20-inch wheels, leatherette seats and an 8-speaker stereo. The XRT Pro also uses the V6 but has a more rugged setup, with 18-inch all-terrain tires, black trim, tow hooks and 212 mm of ground clearance. The Luxury Hybrid adds the hybrid powertrain, leather, BOSE audio and Surround View Monitor. The Ultimate Calligraphy and Ultimate Calligraphy Hybrid include Nappa leather, ventilated second-row captain’s chairs, a dual-panel sunroof and Highway Driving Assist II. The Night Package is available on both Calligraphy models.
